“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
- Nelson Mandela
George Floyd's murder in 2020 marked a global outcry for racism, discrimination and oppression of black people to stop. Black Lives Matter movement was once again reignited. But this time, it wasn't just black people protesting onto the streets amid the global COVID pandemic. No, we saw representation from all age groups, all religion and all race. Through this tragedy, we have a glimpse of hope. Our founder, Faith Ruto bravely used her social media platform to show solidarity and to demand change. You can watch the video on her emotional plea. Her local newspaper "Basingstoke Gazzette" ran her story. Please, click HERE to read the full article. For many black people, they are feeling tired and angry that in 2020, all humans are not treated equally.
We believe that now is the time to facilitate change, bring together everyone (Leaders, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion experts, and Professionals) who want to improve equality for black people in the workplace, education and in our society.
Since June 2020, we have met on zoom to have honest conversations about race. Membership is FREE and diverse.
